Town & Gown: Kevin Zhu, violin

KEVIN ZHU, violin & MAXIM LANDO, piano
The youngest winner ever of the Menuhin Competition in 2012, Kevin Zhu (pictured) went on to win the Paganini International Competition six years later at age 17. His youthful virtuosity and artistic sensibility have earned him the highest honors and accolades worldwide, with performances in Berlin, Beijing, New York, Washington, DC, and beyond. In 2023 he was a featured soloist with the Des Moines Symphony. His mentors at the Juilliard School were Itzhak Perlman and Li Lin. Pianist Maxim Lando, also from Juilliard, counts among his honors the Gilmore Young Artist Award.
