Description
McFarland Clinic is currently accepting applications for a Senior Technical Analyst-Infrastructure for its Ames office. Candidates would be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s IT infrastructure, including network, servers, and cloud environments. Provide technical expertise and support to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.

Must be within 70 miles radius from Ames
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
+ Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and wireless systems.
+ Monitor and troubleshoot network, server, and cloud environments to ensure optimal performance and availability.
+ Install, configure, and maintain both physical and virtual servers, including backup and recovery procedures.
+ Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based solutions, ensuring security best practices are followed.
+ Provide technical support to end-users and IT staff, diagnosing and resolving complex issues across network, server, and cloud platforms.
+ Maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure configurations, procedures, troubleshooting steps, and system performance.
+ Participate in an on-call rotation to support after-hours incidents.
Education
+ Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field -or- +5 years of relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree.
Days: Monday – Friday. Occasional nights and weekends
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Experience
+ 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure
+ Strong understanding of networking protocols, routing, switching, and security
+ Experience with Windows and Linux server administration
+ Experience with Azure.
+ Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
+ Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for infrastructure security, availability, and reliability.
