Summary:The Technology Assistant provides technical support and assistance to all technology users within the district, including educational professionals, students, and staff. This role involves troubleshooting, problem-solving, implementing solutions, maintaining documentation, and ensuring clear communication with end-users. The ideal candidate will be self-directed, service-oriented, and capable of managing small projects independently while collaborating with the Director of Technology on larger initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
– Deliver responsive and effective Help Desk support to users across the district
– Install, repair, and maintain hardware and software for a variety of devices and systems
– Perform basic networking tasks, including wiring, switch configuration, and wireless setup
– Demonstrate the ability to learn new software quickly and adapt to emerging technologies
– Understand basic coding principles and apply them as needed
– Show a willingness to continually learn and grow within the field of educational technology
– Assist with project planning and execution under the direction of the Director of Technology
– Maintain accurate documentation of issues, resolutions, and procedures
– Perform other related duties as assigned
This is a part-time position averaging **20 hours per week**, with a **flexible daily schedule**. The role is based on a **12-month contract**.
